    • Превод би могао бити "Новости са дискусије" или "Новости са форума". Термин је чак и за говорнике енглеског неодређен: "The term is somewhat confusing, because it is usually a discussion group." (цитирано са Википедије)

    • uostalom, record u kontekstu "All records are stored in file file.dat" se prevodi kao slog, tako da "Svi slogovi su zapisani pod imenom file.dat" sasvim odgovara

    • Certified Authority се веома често јавља са скраћеницом CA. Скраћеница CA није читљива на српском језику. Да ли се уместо ове скраћенице може користити скраћеница ЗНО?

      A newsgroup is a discussion about a particular subject consisting of notes written to a central Internet site and redistributed through Usenet, a worldwide network of news discussion groups. Usenet uses the Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP).

      Newsgroups are organized into subject hierarchies, with the first few letters of the newsgroup name indicating the major subject category and sub-categories represented by a subtopic name. Many subjects have multiple levels of subtopics. Some major subject categories are: news, rec (recreation), soc (society), sci (science), comp (computers), and so forth (there are many more). Users can post to existing newsgroups, respond to previous posts, and create new newsgroups.

      Newcomers to newsgroups are requested to learn basic Usenet netiquette and to get familiar with a newsgroup before posting to it. A frequently-asked questions is provided. The rules can be found when you start to enter the Usenet through your browser or an online service. You can subscribe to the postings on a particular newsgroup.

    • # CGI (Common Gateway Interface) je način pristupa programima koji se nalaze iza veb servera.

      # NIC (Network Interface Card) je kartica kojom se pristupa mreži.

      # API (Application Programming Interface) је програмерски приступ апликацијама.

      # ABI (Application Binary Interface) је приступ (бинарним) библиотекама, функцијама апликација.

      # HCI (Human Computer Interface) је човеков приступ рачунару (али и обострани приступ између човека и рачунара, пошто приступ не мора бити једностран).

      # MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) је приступ дигиталним музичким инструментима.

      # SIP (Serial Interface Protocol) је протокол серијског приступа.

      # ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) је приступ напредној конфигурацији и напајању.

    • Уколико неки термин преводимо, онда морамо "преводити" и скраћеницу, односно, сачинити акроним од почетних гласова добијене преведене синтагме. У супротном, збуњујемо корисника. Дакле, и да је скраћеница CA читљива, требало би користити ЗНО.

    • Проблем са преводом Запис је што је то уобичајени превод за енглески термин Record. Ако би усвојили овакав превод за File, онда би смо следећу реченицу All records are stored in a file превели као Сви записи су сачувани у запису, што не одговара правом значењу.
